One year on
Its been one year since the February 22nd Earthquake that changed all of our lives.
Wether you felt mother natures full wrath here in Christchurch, jiggled along a little down in Timaru, or felt the pain for Christchurch from Dunedin as you felt it, wondering what it must have been like in Christchurch. From Cape Reinga to Bluff everyone in New Zealand has in some way been effected by the earthquakes that hit Christchurch at 12.51pm one year ago. We all know someone from Christchurch, or know someone who knows someone who was tragically killed in the quake and subsequent aftershocks.
On Feb 22nd 2011 I was on the corner of Madras and Barbadeos street, in the CBD not far from the action. I will never forget the shaking, the fear on the peoples in the office's faces, as we ran down the stairs and out onto the street. This is the first photo i took literally as the ground was still shaking and was the first photo to go live to the world from christchurch on Twitter at 12.52
I would like to personally thank everyone who did their best to help all of Christchurch in our hour of need. So many people have done so much without even knowing so.
2011 Is now in the past and while we remember those who have passed from us under such tragic circumstances we must pull together and look to the future as we Rebuild our Christchurch.
Here are some photos of remembrance for Christchurch one year on. The flower in the cone idea Came from CPIT Tutor Henry Sunderland and has taken off across the city. I hope you enjoy!

As you can see the Sky was instantly full of dust, there were sirens going off and the ground was still shaking. Things really started to set in as moments later another quake hit and the aftershocks just continued to keep rolling in.
Looking at the grand chancellor from this picture taken just moments after the first shake I never knew what would come in the future, nor did i know how bad things really were.
Reality started to set in for me as I saw my car and car of colleague Grant Ovenden. (Photos below)

30 Days Of Me - Day 10
Day 10- Songs you listen to when you are Happy, Sad, Bored, Hyped, Mad
YAY DOUBLE DIDGETS!
hmm well Happy would have to be songs that i can dance to or what ever is on ZM
Sad- John Mayer, Adele singing something sad....
Bored - once again what ever is on ZM
Hyped.... um prob some Drum and Base or if im really hyped some dubsteep
Mad.... um mad and anger is not something that i feel very often or am very aware of... so im not so sure... maybe Linken park if i felt like i wanted to punch something!

30 Days Of Me - Day 08
Day 08- Short term goals for this month and why
So i havn't bloged in ages my bad.... life has been an interesting learning curve of late!
My Short term goal for this month or should I say next month seeing is that its almost October already! (wow how time has flown) is to get all my assignments done on time if not before they are due at polytech. I am making this my goal as I have been a bit slack over the last month just as I have been with bloging.

30 Days Of Me - Day 07
Day 07- A picture of someone/something that has the biggest impact on you
This picture is a tad old and probably means that I really need to get some more done with my folks but its the only one i could find of just the two of them with me. (I think i was about 19 in this photo)
My parents have a massive impact on me and my life. They are always there for me when i need them and they have given me the best start and chance at making a Success with my life that any parent could have. They have sacrificed so much to send me to good schools and to allow me to peruse avenues that i have wanted to try. I never do anything the easy way often making my life harder for myself but I always know they will be there for me should i stumble along my way.
Love you both so much and I don't know what i would do with out you
